Halloween bag charm guide: spooky-cute picks for every bag

Clasps that stay shut, sizes for each strap, five spooky-cute styles and a clay ghost to make in one evening.

A Halloween charm has about four weeks to earn its place on your bag. Most fail in one of two ways: too loud for the office, or hung on a clasp that pops open between the car and your desk. Size, hardware and restraint fix both.

Bag charm DIY: 5 ways to make your own Purse Charm

Five methods, from beaded elastic to square-knot paracord, plus the knots and crimps that keep every bead on.

You saw a charm you liked, checked the price and thought: I could make that. Ready-made designer charms often sell for $35 or more each, while a bag charm DIY needs beads, cord, jump rings and a clasp. The stringing is easy. The finish is what matters, the knot or crimp that keeps every bead on after a week on your bag.

Bogg Bag charms: ideas by use case, plus how to pick ones that stay put

Snap-in bits or hanging charms, which materials survive a beach day, and October 2026 prices from $3.48 to $32.

Search for charms that fit a Bogg Bag and one online marketplace returns over 3,000 results, most of them the same PVC letters and flowers in different pack sizes. Finding a charm is easy. Finding one that fits, stays in its hole and suits how you use the tote is the real decision.
